Dagga is native to South Africa. It is
smoked by the Hottentott tribes as an alternative to cannabis.
Contains diterpenes.
According to Christian Ratsch's "Encyclopedia
of Psychoactive Plants" this plant is very popular in
the northern half of California.
The leaves, flowering petals and resin
are smoked and produce a hypnotic focus. Striking red flowers
make it a remarkable decorative plant. Likes sun and is fairly
hardy once acclimated.
